  Our People - Jarrod Bowditch
Jarrod Bowditch, director of Verifact, has extensive factual and surveillance investigative experience, specialising in insurance investigations and corporate fraud.

Jarrod BowditchHe holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in security, investigations and disaster management.

His experience includes 20 years specialising in major crime, including insurance and corporate fraud, undercover, surveillance and covert operations.

He was founding managing director of Protocol Security & Investigations, which  operated for 16 years before its merger with Verifact in July 2006. Jarrod was previously a detective, an undercover and surveillance operative and an undercover supervisor in the Drug Enforcement Agency with the NSW Police Service.

Jarrod joined the NSW Police in 1986 and was involved in investigating several high-profile cases, including the 1991 murder of heart surgeon Dr Victor Chang and murders by Sydney "granny killer" John Wayne Glover.

A specialist in covert operations, including drug investigations, Jarrod has given expert evidence in Australian courts and frequently lectures to insurers on surveillance, fraud and investigative methodology.

Jarrod gives educational lectures to school students and sports groups on drug identification and education.

He is the Australian Institute of Professional Investigators' NSW vice-president and a member of the Risk Management Institution of Australasia.

Delivering a professional, transparent service to clients is Jarrod's priority. "Professionalism, experience and integrity are what we offer clients. I take pride in our work and our reputation is based on consistently delivering quality service."

Demonstrating that confidence was equally important, Jarrod said: "In 2000 Protocol introduced tracking systems in its surveillance operatives' vehicles. It self-audits investigators to show clients proof of their integrity. We have the best surveillance results in the industry, averaging more than 30 minutes of video per investigation since 2000, because you can't get video if you aren't there. These outstanding results are attributed to our training and tracking devices. That system continues with Verifact."
