“Our vision is to provide clients with a complete solution for their surveillance requirements, continually exceeding expectations
and setting a standard for service that has become
an industry benchmark”
Verifact Surveillance is a dynamic and progressive division of the company with new, innovative methodology coupled with experienced and knowledgeable staff employing the latest genre of technology to provide a high calibre of investigative excellence.
The three key values of Dedication, Integrity and Experience establish us as the first choice for clients seeking a top-quality surveillance service provider. With the same vision that has driven the company from modest beginnings, we continue to set a standard for service that others can only emulate.
Our unique national infrastructure enables us to provide a comprehensive surveillance platform on a local, national and international level. We pride ourselves on providing the benefits of dealing with one company that employs standardised operating procedures, quality control, file management and information security through dedicated and skilled investigators.
Surveillance has been used for many years as an investigative tool to test the veracity of facts and allegations obtained during the management of a personal injury claim. Further, it has been used to identify and collect additional information that may be used by an insurer when assessing potential exposure or quantum or to provide further leads that can be subsequently investigated by other methodologies.
The use of surveillance is a well known and highly effective method to confirm and expose incidents of insurance related fraud. The resultant video evidence is a powerful counter-argument to a claimant’s allegations of injury or ongoing disability. It can provide proof positive in a most graphical manner that a fraudulent act has been perpetrated.
The provision of professional surveillance support to a diverse range of clientele through the ongoing development of a systematic approach to operations is a key factor in our organisation.
A dedication to innovation means the company will always deliver the best in surveillance technology, equipment and service to our clients.
Our many years of surveillance experience, together with the ongoing development of a systematic approach to surveillance operations, have greatly assisted in the management of injury claims for our insurance company clientele and their customers.
This has been partly achieved through a combination of cutting-edge technology, expertise and the introduction of new surveillance methods based upon methodology, procedure and proven technique.
Our custom modified and outfitted vehicles provide a static observation platform for a variety of tasks and surveillance specific roles. Surveillance operatives have a wide variety of logistics, services and equipment at their disposal. This includes a comfortable, air-cooled working environment, long-range optical recording (LROR) capability, onboard video monitoring equipment and a portable computer updating and reporting facility with direct access into our Investigation Management System for time critical event reporting.
To ensure complete anonymity, our vehicles can be quickly fitted with magnetic signs, ladders, piping and other tradesmen’s equipment; which is especially useful for operating in remote or difficult areas.
Modern surveillance investigators must obtain clear, well documented video evidence that will subsequently be admissible in court. To do this, they rely heavily on cutting-edge technology and advancements in equipment design and capability.
Verifact hold a considerable range of specialised surveillance equipment for a variety of tasks and operational commitments in each of our State offices. Many individual items are custom made or purchased for specific assignments or client requirements. For further information about our custom surveillance vehicles and specialised equipment we would be pleased to provide details on request.

In the year 2000 we introduced tracking systems in our operative’s vehicles to assure you we are on the job when we say we are. This is now known as Verifact Tracking Systems (VTS).
The investigation industry has grown enormously and the integrity and trust of investigators is imperative. Many large insurers have their own methods of auditing investigators in the field so they can be accountable.
At Verifact, we self-audit investigators so the integrity and location of our investigators cannot be questioned. All surveillance investigators in the field in NSW and WA have tracking transponders fitted to their vehicles. This system of tracking is being rolled out nationally. When you give instructions to Verifact you can be assured we are actually there on the job conducting your investigations.

What are you doing to prevent fraud in your workplace?
A facility for employees to report incidents of fraud, harassment or other misconduct in the workplace is an integral part of an effective risk management program ensuring that an organisation has in place effective tools to provide due diligence in relation to their obligations to stakeholders, customers and employees.
Whilst ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, a fraud hotline will also promote a desirable work environment, ethical behaviour and increase employee moral. It can reduce the exposure of risk resulting from losses due to fraud, negative publicity and litigation.
A confidential reporting ‘hotline’ in place for employees can offer them access to a skilled investigator who can effectively extract the information required to commence a formal investigation into an allegation.
