All traffic control staff are certified and accredited holding a traffic control ticket, with many holding an Advanced level or undertaking additional training. Verifact also ensure that every traffic controller has undertaken our own specialist modular courses which not only covers advanced traffic control duties but also related subjects such as: Risk assessment; Job safety auditing; Occupational Health & Safety; First Aid; Incident management; Security Guarding; Asset protection; Scene & incident investigation; Environmental protection; Drug & Alcohol testing; Fatigue and drug testing. Traffic Management Plans Verifact are able to author complex traffic management plans that fully describes how to safely manage vehicular, cyclist and pedestrian traffic during the design and construction of new and existing roads or development projects with the objective realisation of Key Result Area outcomes. We provide all principles, strategies and measures that will be applied through the life of the project including environmental, legislative and authority requirements such as approvals and permits. They use high end CAD design packages to ensure all plans are compliant with AS 1742.3. We also conduct site surveys, prepare pedestrian as well as traffic management plans and traffic control plans as required. Traffic Control Verifact traffic control is able to provide a solution no matter the project scale, location or complexity. From simple stop/go controllers to high traffic flow construction and development zones in CBD’s or rural locations we are able to provide appropriately expeienced and licensed traffic control staff. Our traffic control division is split into 3 distinct categories: Routine & Planned Maintenance This relates to the provision of traffic controllers under an ongoing contractual arrangement with local authorities or organisations. Examples include routine and planned road maintenance for State roads authorities, Stop/Go controllers for rolling works such as grass and tree cutters, planned road works and upgrades. Defined Projects Where local authorities or private construction companies are undertaking major development or upgrades we can provide a one stop service for long term traffic controllers and assist with Traffic Control and Management Planning, safety signage, risk assessment and approval applications. Incidents/Emergency Attendance When clients need a rapid response traffic control service to attend major incidents or emergency road works, Verifact is there to assist. Our call centre can redirect or route the appropriate traffic controller and equipment to any scene quickly and safely allowing our client to concentrate on stabilising the situation and bringing back normal traffic operations. Examples of this work include storm damage, pot hole repairs, flooding signage and roadside accidents.
